We have received reports of residents receiving telephone calls from individuals claiming to be one
of our officers and demanding money related to some type of investigation. None of our officers
will ever call you and make any type of request that you provide money, in any form, for an
investigation to be completed. If you receive a call and you are unsure if it is actually a police
officer, we recommend you end the call and call our office at 724-774-2473 or the Beaver County
911 center at 724-775-0881. We will send an officer in uniform to your home to talk to you.
No legitimate law enforcement office will ever ask you to send money to them via gift cards, transfer mo0ney into an “escrow” account, or request any form of payment to conduct an investigation.
